Hi! I’m Amanda Eve, a training & development lead who designs learning strategies for a major tech company. I received my professional coaching certifications from the Hudson Institute of Coaching and the International Coaching Federation. I’m also a former communications professional and a mother of toddler twin girls (I call them my twincesses).
From each of those roles, I’ve learned to listen to what people need. Not just through the words they say, but what I hear from their heart.
That’s what I do — through my coaching sessions, I create a safe open space where people are encouraged to put down the weight of all the roles and expectations placed upon them in daily life, and explore what their heart desires.
We often hide those desires away, as though wanting more for ourselves and daring to dream is selfish and something to be ashamed of and denied.
“Knowing what we do not want is not the same as knowing what we do want. So how can we get from Not this to This instead?”
Glennon Doyle, author of Untamed
But we think we need to know what we want before we can admit (out loud or even to ourselves) that we’re not content with [our job, career, family, relationship, ourselves, insert anything here]. I’m here to tell you that’s not true. You don’t need to know where you’re going yet. If you hear a whisper of discontent or of desire, you’ve already started your journey… whether you realize it or not.
In the common template of a hero’s journey that stories follow, heroes don’t journey alone. They encounter help along the way – a guide who can help them unlock insights and get past obstacles. To help you along your journey, I walk with you and ask questions, help you reflect and get past the layers of fears and voices in your head, so we can get to your heart.
